On October 12th, 2017, the first China-Britain Motorsport Conference hosted by Department for International Trade and the British Motorsport Festival, jointly organised by China-Britain Business Council，EASTWEST Public Relations and AceGear, was successfully held at Four Seasons Hotels in Beijing. This is the first international business conference on motorsport culture and motorsport industry in China.

The conference attracted outstanding UK and China representatives from enterprises and industry experts in auto and motorsport industries. They exchanged their insights on track operation, event organisation, team management and driver training. The conference was also intended to inspire attendants with market experiences in both China and the UK and help the two countries to seek opportunities for working together. The development of new energy vehicles, investment in sports, cultural creativity, among other hot topics, were discussed at the conference.
Sam Raff, First Secretary of Creative Industries and Sports from the Department for International Trade, and Zhang Tao, deputy secretary general director of secretariat was invited to give the opening remarks. They introduced the development motorsport industry in the UK and China respectively and explored potential cooperation opportunities.

During this conference, the issue of how to promote the motorsports community, events and their commercial development sparked a heated discussion. Chris Zachar from Silverstone Circuit, Adrian Pryce, vice director of CEEC， University of Northampton, Zhang Zhendong, Racer from Volkswagen Team 333, Wang Xuemei, partner of Innoangel Fund, Ray Wang, chief editor of AceGear, expounded the cultivation of motorsports culture and the combination of local culture and other related issues.
This conference is the first international business conference on UK-China auto culture and motorsport industry. Its success has not only laid a solid foundation for the upcoming Third British Motorsport Festival to be held in spring 2018, but has also strengthened the connections in motorsport culture and motor racing between China and the UK, while creating sound business climate for China’s future auto culture. The after party held at Ace Cafe (751 D-Park), with lined-up British cars, Aston Martin, MINI and Lotus on the square, attracting guests to take photo together. More guests and car riders had a relaxing and pleasant night together.
