It was on 25th January 2006 that I boarded the plane from Singapore to Beijing. I had promised myself an adventure, after all life is supposed to begin at 40. Had I returned to the UK after 11 years in Singapore my future would have been comfortable, content but also potentially unfulfilling. Tackling China, the mount Everest of the business world, was the challenge that I set myself. 7 years later I stood proudly with Erika in our Morgan showroom. Our good friends there to share in our celebration. The Morgan trikes with Amity and Halo's names standing in pride of place as reminders of their presence. The management teams from EASTWEST and Eggplant came for a quick drink before leaving to send Christian off to the UK. Having working with me at EASTWEST in China, recently as the M.D., he will now return to London and open our UK offices. ALex who I met when I started the British Business Awards in 2008 has now built Eggplant into a profitable web agency.
