Morgan Motor Company has appointed my consortium as a dealer for their cars in China. I first submitted my business plan on Dec 18th 2010, then presented to Charles Morgan and his team in Malvern 19th April. After this meeting I set about improving our business plan and answering some of the valid concerns of the Company regarding my ability to scale the business in China. On Nov 2nd I flew to Shanghai and presented to Steve Morris, Operations Director. On Nov 17th Steve confirmed our appointment as one of two dealers in China. I have incorporated a HK company, Morgan Cars (HK) Limited and start the process of establishing a WOFE which will apply for a General Distribution Agreement in China. After that will be homologation to ensure that the cars can be sold and driven by consumers in China. Provisional timeline is to be operational by May 1st; optimistic perhaps but a goal to take advantage of the Spring for sales.
