On 27th May Erika and I travelled to the Reignwood Pine Valley Club, about 1 hour north of Beijing.  We have been in conversations with Reignwood, purveyors of Red Bull in China, about ways to introduce Morgan to their group of elite customers. 'Reignwood Group, headquartered in Beijing, China, is a global Chinese enterprise and brand active in four major growth sectors including Consumer Products, Lifestyle, Industrial and Financing. With sixteen industries and over sixty subsidiaries worldwide, Reignwood Group is leading its expansion and diversification with a commitment to a green, healthy, quality of life development concept and through the promotion of business and cultural exchange between China, Asia and the West as a key driver of Reignwood’s vision and mission. Reignwood Pine Valley, one of China's top rated championship golf courses and private member clubs developed by the Reignwood Group, is situated in the Changping District of Beijing and is just a 40-minute drive from the capital. Featuring 54 magnificent holes designed by Jack Nicklaus, Reignwood Pine Valley brings the perfect luxury lifestyle to corporate and industry leaders, complete with the Reignwood Polo Club, luxury golf villas, a five-star hotel, health management & fitness centre and private business jet service for members…all operated with incomparable exclusive services & facilities. ' At just RMB980,000 (GBP98,000) for company membership it seemed eminently affordable for the right clientele. In one of the Villas, on offer at RMB400,000 (GBP40,000) per night, is a VVIP guest Mr Thaksin of Thailand. A long time friend of Dr Songchai, the founder of Reignwood, Thaksin apparently is enjoying the splendour of Reignwood Pine Valley. On the wall in the club house - a small number of photos to show before and after. The Reignwood Group have truly created splendour from a reclaimed site, complete with Arabian ponies, statues and wildfowl. Unfortunately we are only selling a few cars, and so after a nice ride around the facilities, we returned home for tea.
