And so finally, we opened the showroom and had the British Ambassador, Sebastian Wood, a Morgan Plus 8 and Mr Wu all arrive on time. We launched our China 250 Wings project also , and invited Stuart James to be on the stage with us. As always with these affairs, the reports of our ability, ambition and success vary according to the empathy of the media; however above all we have good photos now on line which tell the story; since our first approach to Morgan Motor Company in Dec 2010 to become a dealer, our appointment in Nov 2011, on June 18th 2013 we are now officially open.

Some 30 media attended, and we had coverage in national English language media in China, Chinese auto media and even in British media. This is the power of the Morgan brand at work, augmented by the EASTWEST PR team's excellent media outreach. Ironically the Times used a shot of a Plus 4 in Shanghai taken at the launch of the Shanghai showroom. Subsequently we learnt that the agent there had not registered a company and has caused considerable political difficulties with Morgan. The Times of London The Times of London The Times of London article The Times of London article                       The only snag, on the 17th we had 3 cars in our showroom, on the 18th we had 2. A customer drove the 4/4 75th Anniversary edition car out of the showroom just 2 hours after viewing her. The delay? Making the bank transfer for the full amount. He left his crash helmet, Harley Davidson and the car hood at the showroom. He was just too excited to drive away there and then. Not everything in China takes as long as setting up a Morgan car dealership! IMG_3317
